About the band…
Hemlock Groove is a Central-PA based cover band specializing in music played by the greatest artists in Rock, Country, and Blues from the past five decades.
Dave: Vocals, Acoustic / Rhythm, Shenanigans
We found Dave in a buckskin pantsuit foaming at the mouth. He’s been remanded to regurgitating lyrics and staring patrons down with his intense laser-focus.
Since he didn’t have any real bio information, we assume that he’s been genetically engineered and artfully modified by crack medical teams in very dark rooms.
Dave’s sound is Driving and Deliberate.
Rachael: Vocals, Keys, Percussion, Hi-jinx
Rachael comes to us from the land of milk and chocolate. In her spare time she screams a ton, but that’s usually just the way we like it. Her powerful voice makes a mockery of her small frame.
She may look at your through her hair but DO NOT BE FOOLED – she’s HUNGRY, and she may be randomly deciding what she needs for dinner – you or a hamburger.
Rachael has a powerful voice and a great beat, and her keyboarding is always in tune…
Tony: Lead Guitar, Vocals, Tomfoolery
Tony has a historically good temper and an even better guitar affinity. A co-founder of the band, Tony loves to put on a show.
Tony enjoys long walks on the golf course and days spent gazing at the amber sun while dreaming of desert skies.
Tony’s lead work is constant and evolving. His solos are intense and powerful.
J.D.: Bass, Vocals, Mischief
J.D. refused to answer questions, so he will be forever known as “He Who Will Not Be Entertained”. A man of few words and fewer jokes, he is a poor sport and a failure at nearly every venture. His spirit is maimed and his choices are reckless. As everyone knows, the bassist is the most unnecessary member of the band, so sometimes J.D. sings along to a dead mic (we let him hear himself in the monitor…) J.D., a co-founder, also enjoys long walks on the golf course, but Tony regularly disagrees so J.D. often sulks.
J.D.’s sound can best be described as Mellow Groove
Matt: Drums, Vocals, Antics
Matt was rained down upon the band from the waters of the Polar Glaciers. He fills our hearts with rhythm and our souls with groove. Matt loves to hit stuff with sticks, which is good, for us, because we aren’t a bongo-style band.
Matt has so much rhythm and groove that his pulse drives his heartbeat and not the other way around.
Matt’s sound can best be summarized as Controlled Thump
